Civil Ceremonies

Say “I do” your way at Hidden River. Hidden River Barn is licensed for civil ceremonies, with the first floor offering breathtaking views over ancient woodland and the river – a truly unforgettable setting for your vows.

Intimate Cabin Ceremonies

Thinking of a more intimate ceremony with fewer than 30 guests? All six of our log cabins are licensed for civil ceremonies, offering a cosy and personal alternative. Please enquire for further information and pricing.

Booking Your Registrar

Registrars must be booked directly through Cumberland Registration Services, as we’re unable to do this on your behalf. We recommend contacting them as early as possible to secure your preferred time. Registrar fees are set by the council and include all legal requirements, plus your marriage certificate.

Celebrant & Humanist Ceremonies

If you’re looking for something more personal and bespoke, celebrant-led ceremonies are very welcome. We’re happy to share trusted recommendations once you secure your date with us, or you’re welcome to book your own celebrant if you choose to legally marry before your wedding day. Humanist weddings are also permitted and can be hosted outdoors.

Styling & Atmosphere

Make the space your own. Your stylist or florist can dress the ceremony area to reflect your vision, colour palette, and personal style. Alternatively you can arrive the day before your wedding from 2pm to setup any decoration and place settings etc if you plan to DIY.

Music & Entertainment

Our fully integrated sound system allows you to send in your own bespoke playlists for your ceremony, drinks reception, and evening celebration. Bands, DJs and live entertainment are always welcome.
